Stebbins is a character from Stephen King's novel 'The Long Walk' and the film adaptation of the same name. This portrayal primarily takes from the film, with book and headcanon influences.

In any AU where he is alive for whatever reason, including any where the Walk didn't happen, he still had pneumonia and it led to sepsis. He has a number of health issues that stem from this.
He has never given much thought to his sexuality and has no experience with men. His experience with women is limited. Nothing more than a kiss.
That being said, he is bisexual and demi. Whether he has had this revelation or not is SL dependent.
He is autistic.
He displays some characteristics of reduced affect, which leads to him often being seen as cold or unfeeling. He does have low empathy, but he isn't completely devoid of emotion. He just doesn't express it as clearly or as openly as most people.
He has alexithymia (difficulty identifying his emotions), which contributes to his difficulties with expressing himself. It can take some time for him to figure out what he's feeling.
He has OCD and struggles with magical thinking.
He grew up on a farm a little outside of Houston, Texas with his mother and maternal grandparents. His mother married when he was small, but his step-father passed when he was a teenager.
His relationship with his mother is complicated. He'd like to be closer to her, but she doesn't return the sentiment, hence his Wish to be taken in by his father.
Raised Christian, but non-practicing. His relationship with God is complex, and he would consider himself agnostic.
His rabbit's foot was a gift from his grandmother.
He has the Shine, which manifests as mild telepathy and precognition. He is not aware enough of these abilities to consciously use them, and just considers himself especially perceptive.

Billy was born in rural Texas to Maria Stebbins on July 4th 1957. His mother was young at the time of his birth, having recently turned 18, and still lived with her parents in the farmhouse she grew up in. The cost and the responsibility of having a baby to care for caused her to abandon her plans of moving away, and the shame of being a single mother drove her to withdraw from society. She resented Billy for this, and though she was never outwardly cruel to him, she struggled to form a meaningful bond with her son and was distant to the point of emotional neglect. Billy grew up longing for a connection with her that he would never have, and this distant from his mother is what would drive him to seek a relationship with his father instead.Either the walk is still on-going or Stebbins was the winner. SL-dependent.

This is the canon that I will use for most interactions with characters from media outside of The Long Walk.Stebbins joined the military after high school. He contracted an illness during basic training and was hospitalised for it. The damage to his lungs and other organs was severe enough to have him released from duty.

THE MAJOR — npcBilly's loser deadbeat dictator father
MARIA STEBBINS — npcBilly's mother. The youngest of four children, she planned to leave home immediately after high school before an encounter with the Major left her pregnant at the age of 17. Billy was born only a few months after Maria's 18th birthday, and she chose to raise him in her childhood home with the help of her parents rather than struggle on her own.Emotionally distant and quietly resentful, she was never able to form a solid bond with her son and didn't fight him on his decision to join the Long Walk. Regardless of the outcome, she now resides alone on the farm Billy grew up on and plans to sell it in order to finally move away and find a life of her own.
